Job Purpose:

To support end-user information needs by developing or installing software. Design, program and implement custom software solutions based on user input and requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide software development support for company desktop and web projects.

  • Interact with end users of software for the purpose of development, assistance, and troubleshooting

Key Challenges

  • Working independently in planning the analysis, design and implementation of systems and procedures to electronic data processing applications

  • Evaluate and analyze more complex applications of operating systems with the objectives of increasing efficiency and reducing costs

Skills, Know How and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Skilled use of object oriented programming.

  • Eight (8) plus years’ experience in the use of relational database tools, programming and administration using MS SQL Server.

  • Experience in use of MS Visual Studio, DevOps,

  • .Net Framework, Infor IDO

  • Experience with Infor SyteLine in a manufacturing environment

  • Responsible for understanding health and safety rules and procedures relevant to your job,

  • Responsible for immediately reporting workplace hazards and all injuries, no matter how minor, to your supervisor.

  • Responsible for participating in health and safety training

  • All employees have the authority to stop a process or piece of equipment, if it is considered unsafe.

  • Employees are responsible for addressing any unsafe behaviors of other Akron Brass employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Responsible for participating in incident investigation, and development of corrective and preventive actions
