IDEX Inside Sales Representative in Wooster, Ohio

Initiates communication with customers and also the FSG sales channel to provide excellence in Sales regarding completion, price quotations, as well as routine information concerning product availability, delivery, pricing, and sales. Inputs and processes purchase orders and perform contract review of purchase orders. Preforms outbound tele-sales to specified end users, distribution and dealers within a defined territory. Provide customer support to all vendors, suppliers, agents and government agencies to facilitate market penetration while ensuring accurate accounting functions relating to the billing, distribution and collection of funds.


  • Responds to enquiries in a professional, courteous manner and supplies customers with general information concerning FSG products, availability of requested product, pricing, expected ship date, and product shipment tracking.

  • Initiates outbound tele-sales calls to end users, distributors and dealers for the sole purpose of gaining market penetration within a defined territory by effectuating sales.

  • Efficiently inputs customer orders received by telephone, mail, fax, etc. into the order entry system and manage the delivery process. Performs detailed contract review of purchase orders.

  • Administers FSG policy regarding product returns and assign Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number.

  • Maintains account data bases by giving updates to Customer Service for JDE and OMAR additions per SOX requirements.

  • Uses knowledge of FSG product line to ensure customer preference and to assist the customer with the selection and procurement of FSG products.

  • Competently writes and word processes general correspondence to customers and FSG Field Sales Representatives as appropriate.

  • Provides inside sales support, sales leads, and advice to the appropriate, supported Sales Channels.

  • Holds regular, online meetings (Skype or Equivalent with key relationships across dealer, distributor and sales organizations

  • Inputs market & competitive intelligence as well as records all sales activity and opportunities in SFDC as a regular course of business.

  • Makes suggestions and executes improvement actions that allows our Inside Sales group to continuously evolve into a world class organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate on the telephone in a professional, positive and courteous manner.

  • Basic mathematic skills

  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Familiarity with personal computers and common software such as MS Office, MS Excel, Access and JDE TRAX Program order entry is recommended.

  • Strong technical background is desired and experience essential from a mechanical manufacturing/engineering/ purchasing/ sales background.

  • Analytical capability to discern business issues and assist the Compliance Manager and International Sales Manager in decisions affecting customer relationships and Hale profitability.

  • Strong understanding of International distribution and factors that affect doing this type of business

  • Ability to multi–task to meet client timescales


  • A college degree or relevant experience in Business or Marketing experience is mandatory.

  • Applicable work experience with a technical discipline is desired.

  • Experience in sales, inside sales, customer experience or marketing is required (1-3 years)
