IDEX OEM Business Development Manager in West Jordan, Utah

Summary

Primary responsibility is to drive the growth of new and existing OEM accounts globally through attracting new wet processing OEM customers and by increasing spend of existing customers. This role gives the successful candidate an opportunity to develop business strategy while working in a teaming environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop new business opportunities with current accounts and new OEM accounts

  • Develop and propagate Semiconductor wet processing segment focused, OEM account based growth strategy. Develop this strategy in alignment with global and local business initiatives.

  • Understand the target segment markets, including companies, products, projects, sales cycles, value propositions and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.

  • Possess a strong understanding of our product capabilities and differentiators, along with the price, promotion, positioning for use in strategy development.

  • Provide regular and relevant feedback on Market conditions, competitor activities and progress towards business objectives.

  • Conduct research to understand and communicate new technologies, applications and solutions for existing and targeted OEMs in the targeted segments

  • Develop a process from business case through delivery for brand labeled, modified, and co-developed OEM specific product to be used by regional sales resources.

  • Maintain key customer relationships at the executive level.

  • Ensure that TREBOR establishes and maintains strong relationships with customers and is well respected for being fully supportive of customer needs, in consideration of technical, commercial and cultural requirements.

  • Work with existing target focused accounts providing technical product support and product recommendations. Provide on-site support on a regular basis. Develop, refine and present technical training seminars to customers and/or in house staff that increase TREBOR product awareness.

  • Writing application test reports and conduct application assessment to fulfill the needs of the customers.

  • Provide information and reports to people/customers who need the information to accomplish their jobs. This information is timely and accurate, and can be understood by persons less technically inclined.

  • Work with regional sales teams to develop a consistent, detailed forecasting and reporting regiment in alignment with overall local business unit forecasting and reporting.

  • Achieve and exceed Budget Sales and Gross Margin targets with OEM customers.

  • Ensure all reports, plans, forecasts and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner both personally and for the team. Meet all reporting deadlines as are set by senior management.

  • Work closely and cooperatively with engineering and senior management to ensure maximizing opportunities and customer relationships.

Other Job Functions

  • Work in a team environment to propose and implement process and resource improvements related to team activities.

  • Maintain awareness of customer needs and direction. Increase sales opportunities into the target market categories by providing recommendations for new products w/market supported data. Must be familiar with market trends of customers and economies related to TREBOR business opportunities.

  • Support corporate mission and Guiding Principles, procedures, and work methodology internally, as well as positively promote the corporate image and vision to TREBOR customers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions

  • Ability to: lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, movement within an office complex and outside in the field.

  • Write by hand and keyboard.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • Significant travel is required.

Job Conditions

  • Requires significant travel (potentially 30%) in any territory. Travel environments will vary with exposure to industrial environments and geographic region.

  • Must be comfortable traveling in geographic locations where customs and cultures are unfamiliar

Qualifications

  • BS, or higher, in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Business strongly preferred

  • Must have 5+ years experience in OEM sales

  • Experience with fluid handling equipment, process controls, industrial product distribution and / or OEM account development is desired.

  • Must have experience with new business development and proven sales track record

  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects

  • Highly results Driven

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers and work within a team environment

  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Solidworks or similar programs.

  • Strong ethics

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Strong presentations and communication skills required

  • Experience working in a global organization and semiconductor experience preferred

  • Multi-lingual capability beneficial (Japanese and Chinese preferred).
