This is a highly dynamic role that will support the business to assist in developing and managing global pricing processes to ensure profitability goals are achieved. This is a role that requires interaction with various global teams to drive effective quotation review processes and standard product pricing strategies. This position is also responsible for guiding BU’s 80/20 principles, strategy, and complexity reduction to stimulate and drive profitable growth.

The role requires strong process orientation, ability to organize data and create effective reporting, and the ability to work independently and to manage multiple priorities on a regular basis.


  • Deployment and operation of Value-Based Pricing solutions across the Business, consistent with IDEX Pricing Initiatives.

  • Execute and standardize effective pricing quotation review processes are in place across a matrix business.

  • Analyze gross margin data and develop actions to improve profitability.

  • Work with Business Line Leaders and Commercial Team to develop a Global Pricing Strategy.

  • Works closely with the product management and supply chain teams on price adjustments for direct material inflation (DMI) increases or market price capture.

  • Reviewing by customer "cost to serve" trends and adjusting commercial relationships.

  • Development and standardization of effective pricing processes (pricing log, renewal notifications, non-standard pricing review).

  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting on quote trends (volume, won/lost, by region, by market, competitive pricing effectiveness, etc.).

  • Creates effective tracking tools around price capture activities, including review cycles that monitor the effectiveness of implemented pricing actions.

  • Participates in meetings with Business Line and Commercial Teams to ensure effective communication is achieved across organization on pricing strategies and processes.

  • Identify quick win opportunities to review, set and enforce fees/policies.

  • Support GM/Group President to drive 80/20 methodology and process to help BU focus and set priorities to improve efficiency, enhance profits, and stimulate growth. Ensures 80/20 strategy is consistent and sustainable within the company. Support GM/Group President to guide and lead business optimization and analysis efforts to facilitate strategic and resource allocation decisions required for accelerated profitable growth. It includes for example:

  • Annual Quad/Quartiles analysis

  • Zero up P&L

  • Complexity Reduction RIE’s

  • 80s definition and plans to overserve them

  • Filters not to increase complexity

  • Segment definition & organizational changes

  • Resources optimization

  • Compensation plan

  • Operating Model Processes are by 8020 (Daily, AOP, MBR, GDP, OTC, Lean, etc.)

  • 8020 Profitable growth

  • Understands strategic initiatives (commercial, engineering, operational, organizational) and helps to prioritize the related projects.

  • Conducts internal 8020 training.

  • Manages 8020 Goal Deployment or other action plans.

  • Monthly update working files in sharepointonline IDEX 8020.

  • Coordinates her/his activities with 8020 IDEX Leaders and/or with others 8020 BU Leaders.

  • Ability to travel 10%


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. (Business, Finance, Selling, etc.) or equivalent work experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in progressively more responsible roles in a matrix environment.

  • Prior experience demonstrating excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex situations into information that will support the profitability and growth of the business.

  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Marketing, Commercial Pricing and Product Management as well as Sales.


  • A high energy, results-oriented manager who is not afraid to take charge and has a high bias for action.

  • A strategic thinker/problem solver who can effectively interface with all levels of employees.

  • An ability to analyze the details, but also to be able to step back and “look at the big picture.”

  • Excellent at managing priorities, multi-tasking and deliver against deadlines.

  • Able to work in a cross function/matrix global environment.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Excel proficiency is a must).

  • Creative thinker and demonstrated ability to develop and sustain basic process rhythms.

  • This position is a site-based role.
