Position Summary: Fitting, welding, straightening of stainless steel components. Following engineering design/drawings to weld customized parts. TIG and SMAW welding.

Reports To: Polishing & Welding Supervisor

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday (7am to 4pm) and Friday (7am to 3pm)

Essential Functions:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Fitting, welding and straightening of weldments,

• Production of sheet metal parts, as well as the layout and development of templates or patterns as per engineering drawings,

• Rough polishing of parts when required,

• Weld according to pre-set parameters as well as correcting any deficiencies found.

• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:

• 2-5 years of related experience in welding

• The ability to fit, weld, and straighten weldments

• Ability to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment

• Ability to read and interpret blue prints or welding process specifications

Language Skills:

• English

Computer Skills:

• N/A

Other Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to rough polish

• Knowledge of welding processes (SMAW & GTAW)
