IDEX Region Engineer (remote) in United States

Overall Purpose

Leads the engineering, technical oversight and quality assurance for project deliverables for a specified Region ADS. This position has primary responsibility for driving overall technical quality of our work product, conducting hydraulic analyses and writing reports for project deliverables, and writing and presenting industry leading technical papers and presentations at trade shows and in trade journals. The Region Engineer will work closely with Data Analysts, Project Engineers and with Regional Project Management to create reports that answer customer’s most pressing needs for collection system management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, plans, develops, coordinates and directs engineering and technical aspects of all projects in a specified region or regions. Typical projects include Infiltration and Inflow Analyses, Capacity Analyses and Recommendations, Sewer System Evaluation Surveys, and other reports, as well as proposals, plans, specifications, and research investigations.

  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned project engineers.

  • Estimates engineering labor needs and schedules and assigns/performs work to meet completion date.

  • Provides quality assurance and technical oversight for the work of assigned data analysts as needed.

  • Provide customer and internal training in Sliicer software package.

  • Works closely with sales managers and project managers to develop projects and recommend technical strategies for major or significant clients.

  • Provides technical support to sales for proposal generation, content, methodology and graphical presentation as needed.

  • Works closely with other engineering elements to develop and optimize data presentation, data analysis, and data reporting techniques and methods.

  • Responsible for assisting ADS to ensure Its reputation as the industry leader by writing and presenting approved technical papers at national and local trade shows and trade journals.

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Performs work which involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination requirements.

  • Assists in the specification of information products and accompanying software tools. This includes working closely with ADS Product Management in the development of new methods for delivering information electronically.

  • Completes special projects as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution is required.

  • A Master of Science in Engineering is preferred but not required.

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in one or more states for a position based in the United States is required, as well as the ability to obtain registration in other states as needed.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil/wastewater engineering preferred.

Skills

  • Strong technical writing and technical presentation skills are a must.

  • Computer literacy and analytical skills are required.

  • Proficiency in ADS Sliicer Analysis software required.

  • Must be an active member and participant of technical and professional societies (member grade or equivalent).

  • Must be able to show examples of technical writing, conference papers, and client/conference presentations completed in the last 5 years.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
