Mission of the Position: To maintain the effective and sustainable treatment of wastewater by operating, maintaining, and monitoring wastewater treatment system to ensure system operates as designed.

This position is located in Jerome, ID. Compensation package includes base salary, bonus, and 401k match. This is once in a lifetime opportunity to drive positive change and work in a dynamic environment .
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor & Operate : Monitor plant operational status and adjust equipment and parameters as necessary to promote filtration system effectiveness.
System Analysis: Take samples for laboratory analysis, read operational data, and make necessary adjustments in the filtration process.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment and perform maintenance or repair as required.
Record Keeping: Maintain complete and accurate records of all equipment inventory, maintenance, and facility operations
Major Challenges:
Will be faced with prioritizing and executing multiple tasks at once.
Learning to identify areas for optimization in a wide range of filtration equipment.
Maintaining system operations with little direct supervision or oversight.
Equipment performance standards are complex and vary widely.
Inadequate or outdated information on existing blueprints, documentation, or processes.
Expected Performance Outcomes:
Maintain 90% of system uptime while operating within 80% of the design throughput.
Maintain 100% accurate inventory of all onsite consumables, chemical, and spare parts.
Can make quick and accurate decisions in order to maximize facility performance.
Utilize benchtop laboratory equipment, such as a centrifuge, incubator, turbidimeter, and spectrophotometer.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or associate’s degree.
2+ years’ industry experience in industrial or municipal wastewater, farm, or dairy.
Experience with mechanical hand and power tools.
Understanding of basic laboratory procedures.
Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting procedures to include pumps, motors, and electrical instrumentation.
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
General understanding of filtration systems and critical metrics such as TSS, TDS, turbidity, conductivity, and pH.
A proactive mindset, willingness to learn new technical skills, and an ability to troubleshoot different pieces of filtration equipment.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret operational and maintenance manuals and equipment drawings.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in mathematical calculations.
