IDEX Production Specialist 2 in Vancouver, Washington

Under general supervision, performs assembly and test operations on pumps and motors. Follows established processes to meet pitch and performs simple to moderately complex assembly setups. Maintains inventory control while processing parts that are manufactured in-house or purchased outside. Labels and stores parts according to procedures and completes all necessary transactions in JDP for the control and movement of inventory. Maintains safety, quality and production efficiency.


  • Performs a minimum of 2 different assembly (pump) lines

  • Familiar with Test Procedures, Work Instructions, Hertzler, Drawings.

  • Ability to test products to assure compliance with specifications. Ability to set up test stands.

  • Accurately inspects own work-in-process following established procedures.

  • Reliably uses CLAMP process before releasing finished parts.

  • Participates in Kaizen/5S or other events as assigned.


  • Maintains assembly line, set up test stands, tools and documentation/drawings.

  • Maintains KPIs (key performance indicators) in individual cells.

  • Participates in all quality processes. Remaining quality alert.

  • Maintains all safety standards and reports concerns.

  • Follows all safety and company policies as directed.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

  • Flexible hours required depending on needs of business.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Good hand dexterity required to assemble small parts.

  • Ability to use computer – uses keyboard, mouse, and complete basic tasks using JDE, email, Kronos, and other computer programs as assigned.

  • Communicate by phone, radio, email, and in person.

  • Visual ability for close detail work.


  • Minimum 1 year experience working in manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in assembling small product parts/components.

  • Must be able to read/write and communicate in English.

  • Must have Authorization to work in the United States, and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.
