IDEX Manufacturing - Operator in Vancouver, Washington

Under general supervision, follows established procedures and performs simple to moderately complex machine setups. Operates production machines to manufacture components to item specifications and completes all necessary transactions in JDP for the control and movement of inventory. Maintains safety, quality and production efficiency.


  • Fully trained on operation of all processes in a minimum of one cell on manufacturing floor.

  • Ability to replace tools/tooling as needed per machine.

  • Ability to accurately measure parts using tools as required.

  • Inspects own work-in-process following established procedures.

  • Accurately inspects parts using CLAMP process before releasing finished parts.

  • Assists in training new employees as assigned by Team Lead.

  • Participates in Kaizen/5S or other events as assigned.


  • Maintains cell, tools, and machines as assigned

  • Maintains KPI’s for cell

  • Participates in all quality processes

  • Maintains all safety standards and reports concerns

  • Follows all safety and employee policies as directed by company

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance following established policies

  • Flexible hours required depending on needs of business

  • Performs all other duties as assigned


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to use computer – uses keyboard, mouse, and complete basic tasks using JDE, email, Kronos, and other computer programs as assigned

  • Communicate by phone, radio, email, and in person

  • Visual ability for close detail work


  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a machine operator

  • Shaft machine operation preferred

  • Must be able to read/write and communicate in English

  • Must have Authorization to work in the United States, and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology as required for this position.
