SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

This position has responsibility to head-up Micropump’s Core Business Line, owning the fulfilment of Building a Great Team, providing exceptional service to 80 customers to protect and grow Micropump’s foundation for Targeted Growth, and eliminating waste & complexity to free up resources to invest in 80 customers and Targeted Growth. This individual must have the ability to engage deeply with the few critical 80 customers, establish high trust relationships and gain credibility within all levels of Micropump’s & customers’ organizations, and be a champion of change. Additionally, this individual will be expected to be an active and influential member of the Sr. Leadership Team, and this position will direct the customer service function as a shared service for all Micropump customers.

  • Partner with GM and peers to strengthen and improve the high performing senior leadership team:

Building Great Teams Sr. Leadership Team Member & Customer Service Group Leadership :

Customer Obsession:

  • Establish strong relationships with 80 Customers’ executive, commercial & technical decision makers and influencers.Connect Micropump executives, engineers and quality teams with these customer contacts.

  • Direct efforts to understand our existing core customers’ most impactful needs, and develop and execute strategies to protect and grow Micropump’s strong foundation:

oMaintain world-class OTD for 80 OEMS (97%+)

oMeasure and Improve Customer Satisfaction

oGrow & Maintain Share with existing 80 Customers

Focusing Resources:

  • Utilize 8020, Lean and other methods to eliminate waste & complexity to improve focus and invest in Targeted Growth

oEnable Product Line Simplification by Implementing agreed Mag 7 actions on complex product configurations

oIncrease Margins

oFocus and Leverage Distribution Channel

oCustomer Service processes simplify & ensure SOX, Export Compliance and ISO requirements are consistently satisfied

Operating Plan Execution:

  • Achieve Annual growth target for Core Business Line

  • Hold Cust Svc team & Customers accountable to forecast accuracy

  • Provide analysis and countermeasures to close sales GAPS

TRAVEL

  • Ability to travel globally when necessary to support global partners

GENERAL

  • Participates in AOP (Annual Operating Planning), forecasting (monthly/quarterly), Goal Deployment, MBR (Monthly Business Review) and strategic planning as requested and required.

  • Conducts Performance Appraisals with reporting associates at annual basis, setting goals and objectives, completes regular feedback sessions with direct reports, reviews training needs, and develops the team.

  • Follow company policies, procedures and instructions.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing teams

  • Demonstrated success as a functional leader of an industrial business with a distribution channel philosophy, and as primary owner for critical customer and channel partner relationships and performance; known for customer intimacy and have personal interaction with customers around the world.

  • Excellent business and commercial acumen In-depth understanding of the financial metrics that drive a business and the means of influencing those metrics, and ideally having worked successfully in more than one function.

  • Demonstrated ability to “telescope” to move seamlessly from the strategic to the tactical/hands-on when needed, without getting overly bogged down in details or micro-managing and/or stifling the team.

  • Demonstrated business and organizational change leadership driven by the principles of 8020, and ideally demonstrated success in more than one company.

  • Proven skills in mentoring a team and emphasizing people development throughout an organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to make difficult changes to a team when necessary.

  • Timely accomplishment of above listed responsibilities while maintaining budget constraints.
