IDEX Administrator - Document Control in Vancouver, Washington

Under general supervision, coordinates data entry and maintenance of master data in BOS and other databases. Works with all users to ensure documents are accurate and readily available for all current and non-current revisions. Assists all users in the resolution of document and database discrepancies. Provides administrative support for various activities in the Quality Engineering department and other Engineering Departments.


  • Detailed and accurate data entry and maintenance of material master and standard cost data in BOS and other databases.

  • Performs various clerical duties including but not limited to, pulling, copying, distributing and filing documents such as; ECN packages, ESO Project Files, External Documents, Engineering Qualification Data MCD’s, PCD’s, Master Forms and Safety Assessments.

  • Processes and maintains MCD and PDC system and other related documents accurately.

  • Enters and maintains data in ECN log. Coordinates ECN approval process.

  • Order and update external documents.

  • Edits and creates engineering documents, including service instructions, routings, safety assessments, Engineering project files, test specifications and bills of material, under direction of engineering staff.

  • Develops and ensures use of document standardization including application of product coding.

  • Prioritizes Document Control activities to ensure the needs of customers are met throughout the company.

  • Enters and maintains Quality system data. Maintains departmental performance metrics.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.


  • Actively participates in company’s commitment to ISO 9000/14000, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Maintains solid words Drawing Vault.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Ability to: life, bend and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally, movement within office complex, write by hand and keyboard, general office functions.

  • Ability to communicate using a variety of methods.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.


  • General office environment.


  • High school graduate or GED, and prior office experience.

  • Experience with material masters and bills of materials.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated skill at highly detailed and accurate data entry.

  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills required.

  • Ability to use various types of office equipment including personal computers, copy machines.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and other business operations software.

  • Experience in drafting and proficiency with AutoCad, Mechanical Desktop & Solid Works preferred.

  • Must have authorization to work in the United States and be able to have lawful access to controlled technology.
