We are seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Sourcing Specialist that will work with commodity managers to run sourcing activities for a multitude of commodities. The ideal candidate will develop and execute short and long-term sourcing initiatives that reduce supply chain complexity and achieve a minimum of 3% YOY material productivity. They will help identify, evaluate, suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and service for our organization. Responsible for onboarding new suppliers and/or transitioning parts to more strategic suppliers
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
Plan, execute and manage multiple sourcing projects at one time, determined by various commodity strategies driving quality, delivery and material cost savings’
Track and report project progress, risk and performance metrics.
Strategic Sourcing:
Research potential suppliers, analyze market trends and spend data to identify sourcing project opportunities.
Provide recommendations for supplier selection, negotiations, stocking agreements and contract finalization.
Manage RFQ/RFP process and supplier/part transition process
Lead the end-to-end supplier qualification process for new vendors, from request for quote to first purchase order which includes the supplier onboarding process.
Utilize 80/20 mindset to establish and execute projects to reduce supply base complexity
Cost and Risk Management:
Work collaboratively with supplier to address and resolve performance issues to mitigate project risk
Develop contingency plans for supplier disruptions
Act as liaison between supplier and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
Maintain and monitor “key” performance metrics
Perform other functions as necessary to support the global sourcing department.

Excellent project management skills and understanding PM management tools and MS Office Suite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrated ability to work well with spreadsheets
Excellent reasoning and analytical skills, ability to anticipate and define complex problems, collect data, establish facts, distinguish trends, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to multi-task and manage several projects in different stages.
Strong ability to interface effectively with suppliers and internal cross-functional counterparts while maintaining a customer satisfaction orientation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Experience: 3+ years relevant supply chain/operations experience. Could be filled as a Senior Sourcing specialist based on experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Familiarity with strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier negotiation, and contract management
Experience managing multiple sourcing projects to completion
Experience in castings, machining, and motors is preferred.

Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikes.
