SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for performing quality audits and ISO compliance of incoming parts; work in process and customer returned materials. Records results on the associated inspection records. Follow Quality System guidelines, record necessary non-conformities and follow-up actions through process improvement, design change, procedure and process or supplier modifications. Functions on a regular basis with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform quality audits on finished units and work in process.

  • Maintain logs and records in accordance with Quality System requirements. Process Non-Conforming Reports (NCR).

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections on parts and work in process for compliance.

  • As a member of the Quality Team, maintain the Airtech Quality System Plan and Production System Maintain 5S in assigned areas.

  • Support Quality Team with assignments as required Monitor and perform tasks according to the calibration procedure.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Requires knowledge of inspection mathematics, blueprint reading, use of common measuring tools and measurements, surface plate inspection methods, layout techniques, inspection planning, basic probability and sampling inspection.

  • Requires knowledge in ISO rules and inspection analysis.

  • Must be an effective communicator with employees, suppliers, and Engineering Team.

  • Must be able to effectively use the company computer systems and peripheral devices.

  • Should possess the following skills: teaming, communication, listening, learning, positive attitude, customer focus, computer use, quality driven.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent

Shop floor working environment. Noise level is minimal with intervals of spikes. Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the shop floor.
