Range: $110K - $140K

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of our Quality Engineer position is to ensure that IDEX Health & Science products meet purchase specification, design and quality / reliability requirements. This position requires ownership and vast depth and breadth in many areas. It is critical for this person to be a team player with the ability to be flexible, positive and collaborative, as required to contribute to the success and growth of IDEX Health & Science.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

The QE is an integral part of the organization, leading, collaborating, facilitating, and supporting the needs of the organization with a sense of ownership and integrity fostering a positive work environment and a shared Quality Culture. The ability to take initiative and sense of ownership and follow through is essential to the health of the organization. The ability to communicate at all levels openly and willingly is critical to enhance efficiency and productivity. The QE must be a positive team player, someone that can be counted on to contribute fully and willingly to go the extra mile to meet the goals of the team and the company. Actively assuring compliance to ISO 9001 standard, company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsible for assuring customer and supplier quality performances Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to assist in the design, pre-product, and release of new products. Knowledge of IQ/OQ and PQ protocol development and implementation Knowledge of robotics design, planning and automation controls Responsible for qualification of parts utilized in the development of new products. Coordinate the first article and supplier part qualification approval processes between IDEX and suppliers. Implement quality planning, control plan, FMEA, inspection methodology, and root cause analysis. Work with Operations and Engineering to increase efficiency through the improvement of in-house and supplier manufacturing processes, and product quality / reliability. Developing and managing KPI’s, databases and countermeasures as required for continuous improvements Participate in Material Review Board activities and feedback to suppliers. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns. Team member for supplier activities relating to: development, process capability, technical gap analysis, qualification, and monitoring of quality and on time delivery performance. Revision of internal procedures as applicable to implement a comprehensive customer and supplier quality management program. Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen Lean methods, etc. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or relevant degree preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years Quality Engineering experience. American Society for Quality certified CQE desired. Must be a team player and a leader with the ability to promote collaboration, taking ownership and/or facilitating a process achieving a closed loop process. Must have experience with GD&T methodology. Demonstrated experience with electronics (IPC standards), and metal fabrication processes. Familiar with modern quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, and Statistical techniques. Experience with ISO 9001 or 13485, Electronic Workmanship Standards (IPC-610/IPC/620), and Electro-Static Discharge (Mil-Std-1686, ANSI 20.20 or JES D625-6). Demonstrated understanding of quality metrics, process characterization and mapping, Product Quality, Reliability management, improvement techniques, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) processes, Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement. Internal auditing experience, ASQ CQA or CBA a plus. Knowledge and usage of Minitab and statistical process control (SPC, CPK). Excellent communication in English – both written and oral. Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access). Familiarity with the use of ERP / Document Control systems (e.g. Oracle, JDE, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD). Ability to travel approximately 20% both domestic and international.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $107,100.00 - $160,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
