Description:

Position Summary:

Main responsibilities, Logistics - Manage

the administration of all export orders at the Rochester facility, including

commercial review of orders, coordination with the production-planning

department to insure timely shipment of orders and follow-up with the Credit

Manager for the status of payments to ship. Provide leadership to the

day-to-day administration of all International orders from order entry to

arrival at the customer’s location. Direct accountability for process improvements in the export and import shipping

process and freight expenses.

Compliance Responsibilities, 30% -

Handle various daily compliance duties (Customs filings, recordkeeping,

documentation audit, Free Trade Agreements).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Compliance and daily use of Precision

screening and shipping software.

Interact daily with Forwarders on

coordination of all international shipments.

Work within the value stream to

coordinate multi-product and consolidated orders.

Complete proper shipping documentation

for all exports.

File accurate Electronic Export

Information (EEI) in the Customs & Border Protection Automated Customs

Environment system.

Follow up on all in-house export orders

with the field and expedite the removal of orders from different holds i.e.

approval, customer hold, cash in advance hold, LC hold etc.

Quote export/import shipments as needed

Export License In coordination with

the Compliance Officer monitor and control processes to assure compliance with

the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security regulations.

Responsible for filing and following up

on export license applications with the Department of Commerce..

Communicate actively with the

International regional managers, distributors and customers on the status of

all International orders and any anticipated delays.

Manage the inter-departmental system for

review of and compliance with International Letters of Credit.

Manage and track the timely and

economical arrival of imported goods; including the management of proper

customs documentation for expeditious customs clearance.

Assist in import compliance rules and

regulations on import requirements.

Responsible to document and track

incoming freight expenses; maintain visual metrics and KPI objectives.

Development, review & implementation

of Shipping Process Controls.

Conduct End User & Visitor

screenings.

Perform all ship confirmation

transactions (domestic and international) in the business system prior to the

end of the business day.

Maintain Accurate recordkeeping in

accordance with U.S. import & export regulations.

Participate in compliance meetings.

Work closely with the Compliance Officer

on all export/import compliance matters.

Commodity Code Assignment Work with

the Compliance Officer to continually develop, monitor and control processes to

assure compliance with the U.S. Census Bureau Foreign Trade Statistic HTS Codes

Assist in development &

implementation of export/import compliance training for Pulsafeeder personnel.

Conduct compliance audits on

import/export shipment documentation and EEI filings as well as review of

internal processes with the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or 3- 5 years’

experience in a shipping and/or compliance environment

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years trade compliance or

customs brokerage experience desired

Knowledge of MS office and general

computer systems and databases

Experience in Export-Import Control,

customs or other regulatory experience

Advanced body of knowledge of Export

compliance regulations and license for controlled products

Knowledge of and experience working

with US Custom’s Entry procedures and requirements desired
