The Nexsight Finance Director will be responsible for all aspects of the finance team and financial systems for the business group. This position will be responsible for the financial coordination and consolidation of 4 different business units. The candidate will analyze and redirect resources through accounting and financial reporting that meet or exceed the requirements of internal and external customers. The position actively partners with the Nexsight Operational leaders and the Intelligent Water VP of Finance in the planning, setting direction and supports the strategic and operational plans of the Nexsight business units. A successful leadermentors staff and develops talent to support the growing needs of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate as a key business partner to the Nexsight SLT. Contribute to business strategy development and operational execution of business plans.
Prioritize talent management – coach / develop BU finance leaders, build a deep talent pool at all levels of the organization and establish succession plans for self, direct team and their direct team.
Direct the regular financial processes for Nexsight including closing the books, forecasting, planning, and the reporting and analysis of results.
Globally, ensures all compliance with legally mandated external financial reporting including the Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
Prepares & consolidates financial statements and ensure the accuracy of financial results for the company. Prepare detailed analyses of financial statement results, including cost trends, customer profitability, product line profitability and variance analysis.
Analyze operating results to determine and recommend profit and/or cash flow improvement opportunities. Consolidate financial information for review with the Nexsight leadership.
Work alongside the Corporate Finance organization (i.e., treasury, tax, and audit) in improving financial processes, implementing policy changes, and executing strategies and initiatives.
Degree in Accounting or Finance and / or MBA required
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting and leadership experience
Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards
Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to research and apply accounting pronouncements as appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of SOX requirements.
Superior verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside of the Accounting Department.
