Flow Management Devices (FMD) designs and manufactures a line of Small Volume Provers, supporting a niche market in the Energy Industry (Oil & Gas Market) headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. FMD is a business unit of IDEX Corporation.
The Operations Manager will plan and oversee all aspects of business Production and Supply Chain functions, leading a team of around 15 employees. This role is both hands-on and strategic, operating in a dynamic environment reporting to the General Manager. This role will heavily be focused on Supply Chain (75%) and (25%) Production.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Participates as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure successful business operations.
Coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company’s goods.
Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting business Operations including Supply Chain.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain, production, and working capital goals.
Develops policies for continuous improvement in Operations while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes as necessary.
Negotiates prices and agreements for raw materials, services, and finished goods with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Plans and organizes daily activities as well as long term strategies related to production and supply chain.
Develops a team-based culture focusing on talent, engagement, and building trust at all levels of the organization

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Operations in manufacturing setting
Minimum 5 years’ supply chain experience in manufacturing
ERP/MRP Knowledge is required
Proven Track Record Building High Performing Teams and Developing Talent
Strong financial & business acumen and ability to align the Operations plan with the business strategic profitable growth objectives.
“Big picture” thinking, addressing top-level concerns, and finding the best path forward.
Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
