As a leading manufacturer of industrial compressors, pumps, bypass valves, and accessories, Corken specializes in custom compressor packaging and pump skids designed for liquefied gas transfer, liquid transfer, air boosting, and vapor recovery applications within the process gas, energy, and transport industries.


Provide sustaining engineering for production/product support as needed to maintain daily production needs/rates. Provide technical and information support to marketing, field service, and customers, quality and supply base as needed. Submit, review and implement engineering changes, confirming change is acceptable to fit/form/function.

Essential Functions

Support (technical and engineering) to marketing, field service, sales and customers regarding technical information and engineering problems

Provide production/product support to Corken’s shop floor to help ensure customer commitments are maintained

Create 3-D models of components and assemblies

Initiate BOM corrections as needed

Initiate Product Change Orders as needed

Maintain & update drawing archives

Process drawing prints for interoffice routing

First Article Acceptance inspections to specifications and drawing dimensions

Establish new part numbers through Corken’s NEASE process

Help to enhance Corken’s work instructions, assembly procedures, and test procedures

Leads FMEA’s and providing input as required

Responsible for on-boarding new products into manufacturing, providing packaging and new assembly or machining processes as needed

Manage project schedules working with marketing, manufacturing, procurement to implement product improvements

Investigate design concepts proposed by marketing i.e. feasibility, cost, function, and operating parameters/limitations

Plan, design and document product changes by performing calculations, making layouts, drawings, creating programs, qualifying new parts (capability analysis, verification/validation) and processes

Work with lab technicians to write, perform and summarize test data

Present project updates to senior management

Investigate/create engineering change requests to improve product, correct errors, facilitate production, and reduce cost

Performs other duties as required

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety to self and co-workers

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

BA/BS Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

0 - 7 yrs. experience in mechanical based manufacturing environment

Mechanical assembly skills

Preferred Education and Experience

Manufacturing experience in Compressors, pumps, or electromechanical devices

Working knowledge of CNC Machining and GD&T methodology

ProE/Creo CAD experience

Knowledge in machining and/or assembly operations, mix model cell structure is a plus

Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.
