IDEX Production Supervisor in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety and employee engagement objectives through both individual and team contributions.

  • Optimizes production efficiency and minimizes downtime to ensure on-time product delivery.

  • Provides direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, cross-training and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

  • Actively promotes safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in safety committee and safety observations.

  • Promotes, and supports continuous improvement and other cross-functional initiatives.

  • Conducts daily Gemba walks.

  • Manages department operations and prioritizes production requirements in alignment with production plan.

  • Assign daily work schedules for direct labor to meet business goals.

Education/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment required.

  • BA/BS Degree in engineering, business or related field preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/SAP experience is a plus.

  • Ability to lead, motivate and mentor large teams of hourly associates is required.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical/critical thinking.

  • Strong accountability, consistency and follow-through skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Will manage a team of hourly production employees.
