Advanced Flow Systems (AFS) includes the Liquid Controls and Corken branded products that make fluid transfer safe, accurate, and efficient. Liquid Controls primarily provide metering, fluid handling and data ecosystem for truck-based custody transfer of highly valuable fuels. They have product solutions to support other downstream oil & gas custody transfer applications as well. Corken offers a wide variety of industrial compression and pumping solutions for the process, energy, and transport industries. Applications include autogas filling stations, bulk plant pumps, tank car unloading, delivery truck, and transport. AFS is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK and sales/service office in Chicago, IL and an employee base of approximately 220+.
The Production Manager is responsible for providing direct management and overall leadership of the assigned focus factory, managing safety/regulatory requirements, production quality, delivery, inventory and cost to meet customer expectations by utilizing the Daily Management process in a highly technical assembly and machining/fabrication environment. This role is also responsible for developing objectives, goals and strategies to support the business direction and development and implementation of new products. This position requires collaboration with the supply chain and commercial teams to balance priorities in a changing and flexible environment. Knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean tools will be a key part of successful problem solving and waste reduction and driving productivity in production processes. The Production Manager is expected to be a servant leader to their assigned focus factory by ensuring all needs are met, driving accountability, and building cohesive teams.
Essential Functions
Leadership of a highly skilled mechanical assembly and machining process
Servant leadership of direct employees while holding them accountable for performance
Ability to communicate and drive for results
Create and manage workflow and work orders in an MRP (JDE knowledge a plus)
Understanding of inventory control/management
Utilize team leads and continuous improvement tools to reduce waste/costs
Effectively produce written documents such as production reports or procedures/work instructions when necessary
Effectively produce verbal reports and presentations
Responsible for training and compliance of manufacturing teams
Lead and continually improve Daily Management Process
Trend and track manufacturing performance
Use systematic tools (5 Why’s) to get to root cause of missed targets/quality errors to drive action plans that address the root cause
Coach, mentor and train hourly employees
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output
Performs other duties as required
Education and Experience
BA/BS Degree in applicable field
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with progressive responsibility or leadership position
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
Experience with MRP systems
Experience working with ISO 9001 or QMS systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Proficient in Excel
Preferred Education and Experience
Three (3) plus years of leadership experience
Five (5) plus years of manufacturing experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to focus on the critical few tasks to “win the day”
Advanced computer skills
Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability, patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environment

Work Environment
Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.
