SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Director of Finance and IT will have responsibility for all aspects of the finance team and financial and business systems functions and for this business group. The individual will analyze and redirect resources through accounting and financial reporting that meet or exceed the requirements of internal and external customers. The Director actively participates with the Staff in the planning, direction, and policy making for the Plant and communicates and supports the strategic and operational plans of the business unit. The Director mentors staff and develops talent to support the growing needs of the company.

FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:

This position will support the corporation’s strategy to maximize the combined strengths of its business units to provide better solutions, expand margins and generate strong cash flow. The individual will maintain a financial reporting/internal control system that will provide management with the appropriate financial and operating information. He/she will develop, analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance, operational excellence and other criteria that directly reflect the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the business unit.

The Director will possess tact and maturity and will prefer to subsume his/her ego while driving the business unit’s agenda in a collaborative manner. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Participate as a key business partner to the Corken leadership team. Contribute to business strategy development and operational execution of business plans that drive organic growth and M&A

  2. Direct the regular financial processes for the Business Unit including closing the books, forecasting, planning, and the reporting and analysis of results

  3. Ensures all compliance with legally mandated external financial reporting including the Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.Audit the operations for compliance to corporate and business unit policies and procedures

  4. Prepares & consolidates financial statements and ensure the accuracy of financial results for the business unit.Prepare detailed analyses of financial statement results, including cost trends, customer profitability, product line profitability and variance analysis

  5. Analyze operating results to determine and recommend profit and/or cash flow improvement opportunities. Consolidate financial information for review with Group

  6. Perform special analyses to support strategic business decision making – this can include financial analysis in support of M&A, capital investments, changing business models, pricing models, make vs. buy, etc

  7. Evaluate, approve and/or recommend course of action on capital spending and investment requests

  8. Provide leadership to the Business Unit finance organization in recruiting and developing top finance talent

  9. Work alongside the Corporate Finance organization (i.e., treasury, tax, and audit) in improving financial processes, implementing policy changes, and executing strategies and initiatives

  7. Leadership abilities and self-confidence in his /her own abilities, who is always available to coach or counsel others.A perceptive, forthright individual with high integrity and sound judgment

  8. Someone who brings high energy, results-oriented manager who is not afraid to take charge and has a high bias for action.

  9. A strategic thinker/problem solver who can effectively interface with all levels of employees in an international environment.An ability to analyze the details, but also to be able to step back and “look at the big picture”

  10. Experience managing and developing IT teams

  11. Requires approximately 15% travel

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor's Degree (preferably in accounting, business, economics, or finance)

-8-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing experience

-CPA and/or MBA preferred
