The Controller is responsible for establishing and auditing the procedures and the systems for the division so Corken remains in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Internal Accounting Standards (IAS).

Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with Internal Audit, GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Segregation of Duties (SEGROD)

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to the general ledger accounts.

  • Performs and leads monthly close process in JDE ERP.

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries.

  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations.

  • Work with Director of Finance to analyze financial information detailing inventory, fixed assets, leases and net working capital.

  • Lead and ensure SOX compliance as well as various audit investigations as needed.

  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors that may be inconsistent with GAAP & IAS.

  • Supports operations, supply chain and quality team with KPI’s and analytics

  • Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.

  • Supports cost accounting, FP&A and Director of Finance as needed

  • Supports annual operating plan

  • Develop AA Team by deploying the IDEX AA Team Development Process

  • Performs other duties as required

  • Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

  • Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety to self and co-workers

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum of five-to-eight years’ experience

  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • MBA preferred

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employee’s and the general public.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

  • Demonstrate good organizational skills and good follow-up techniques

  • Must be able to multitask

  • Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity, deals with confidential information with the utmost discretion, respect and care

  • Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability, patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environment

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervise, develop and coach Accounts Payable Clerk and Accounts Receivable Clerk.

Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.
