The continuous improvement leader is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the successful execution of continuous Improvement objectives for Advanced Flow Systems in support of the IDEX Operating Model.

Deliverables include incremental improvement in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.

Essential functions:

  • Training and educating the operations team at all levels in rapid improvement methodology (RIE)

  • Supporting the goal deployment process leading to incremental and breakthrough improvements

  • Leading RIEs at a cadence which develops and supports the continuous improvement culture

  • Development of value stream map as a guide for improvements to the product delivery systems

  • Development of RIE champions through training and mentorships

  • Support functional operations leaders in driving standardization, 5S, and waste elimination

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business management

  • Formal training/certification in lean principles required

  • Formal training/certification in Six Sigma preferred

  • Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in a precision industrial manufacturing environment

Specific knowledge, skills and/or experience:

  • Strong change management skills and demonstrated experience changing a culture to a Lean environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Effective cross-functional leadership skills

  • Ability to leverage technology to sustain improvement

  • Lead by example to ensure our highest quality manufacturing practices are being met

Work environment:

  • Exposure to manufacturing environment

  • Noise level may vary from moderate to noisy/loud in the plant area

  • Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron, and face shield must be observed
