IDEX Financial Analyst in Ocala, Florida

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES :

The Fire & Safety Financial Analyst is responsible to analyze and report financial and operational performance data across multiple platforms for regional and group management. The role supports financial consolidations and organizes and interprets business analytics to track key initiatives and performance drivers. Position will gain knowledge of U.S. GAAP and manufacturing / financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley, and business operations in a growth-oriented environment.

The Financial Analyst is a member of the Fire & Safety accounting team, will work with global BU, regional and group finance and other functional leaders.

REPORTS TO: Directly to VP Finance IDEX FSD Group VP Finance, supports F&S Regional Finance leads.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the group level month-end close process, including consolidations, analytics and reporting.

  • Prepare monthly business review analytics and monitor KPI trends.

  • Prepare and review various daily/weekly operating metrics to monitor business performance.

  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

  • Prepare actual versus budget and forecast analyses and analyze fluctuations.

  • Develop proficiency with IDEX Operating Model modules (DMM, MBR, 8020) to ‘speak the language’, apply the tools and maintain consistency in communication and culture.

  • Work closely with cross functional team to calculate and monitor trends of KPI’s.

  • Other duties and ad hoc analyses as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus.

  • Entry level position, prefer at least 1 year accounting experience but not required.

  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks/objectives.

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills to work with global teams to analyze data and present results.

  • Consistently operate at a high level of integrity and uphold relevant controls.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (advanced Excel) required. Knowledge of Onestream, Power BI and JDE / ERP systems is a plus.
