Quality Technician

Reports to Chris Williard QA Manager

Location : Oak Harbor WA.

Schedule: 6:00AM to 2:30PM

Salary Range: 46,800.00 - 58,500.00 - 70,200.00 USD Annual

Summary

Under the direction of the Quality/Regulatory Director, this person will provide technical services for the manufacturing and testing of company products. The duties will include manufacturing and environmental quality assurance, monitoring equipment performance, product testing and release, validation studies, calibration, and document control.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment

  • Perform in-process, receiving and First Article inspections as required.

  • Effectively use calibrated equipment to verify product conformance.

  • General understanding of the use of Optical Measuring Equipment.

  • Ensure all test and measurement equipment is compliant with current calibration.

  • Optical Measuring Equipment, i.e. RAM.

  • In-process and finished goods acceptance.

  • Work Orders

  • Review and approve manufacturing activity results against the standard.

  • Prioritize workload as needed.

  • Review and approve work orders related to product acceptance.

  • Close RMA reworked work orders as needed.

  • Create certificates of conformance as needed.

  • Receiving

  • Ensure acceptance activities and requirements are defined as needed and suitability of test/inspection methods.

  • Verify received material is acceptable per drawings/requirements.

  • Update Supplier/Item Relationships in JDE as needed.

  • CAPA

  • Initiate, participate in and/or lead corrective/preventative action investigations as needed.

  • Production and Process Controls

  • Perform environmental testing at specified intervals, report results.

  • Non-ConformingProduct

  • Manage non-conforming product activity.

  • Manage quarantine area, identification of, and disposition of non-conforming product.

  • Review end of month reports for nonconforming product.

  • Material Review Board

  • Lead or participate in material review boards as required, provide investigation information.

  • Calibration

  • Develop and implement calibration procedures.

  • Oversee recall and calibration of measuring and test equipment.

  • Ensure all training requirements related to the use of equipment is current.

  • Regulations

  • Have moderate understanding of ISO 9001.

  • RMAs

  • Facilitate RMA process.

  • Apply appropriate Statistical Techniques

Understanding of sampling plans for product acceptance

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

  • Ability to move about and between buildings as required by position.

  • Ability to safely lift up to 35# occasionally.

Total Rewards

The starting compensation for this position is $25.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
