MATERIALS SPECIALIST I
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum High School graduate or equivalent.
Starting wage $18.50-$22.50
Work Schedule Monday - Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM
SUMMARY:
Position reports to the Materials Supervisor. The Materials Specialist I is responsible for the daily shipping and light assembly duties including picking, manifesting, and packaging per the company’s ISO9001 quality system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Pick, inspect and pack parts per pick ticket following 1 piece flow.
Build 10 packs and light kitting via work orders.
Manifest domestic and international shipments via freight carrier’s websites and TRAX system.
Identify issues and bring to daily management meeting or issue shelf.
Conduct cycle counts at least twice a week.
Maintain finished goods warehouse cleanliness and organization.
Sort pick tickets and work orders into individual pitch folders.
Troubleshoot shipping issues.
Operate company vehicles for the transfer of materials and maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift up to 55 lbs.
Ability to walk on concrete floors for full day
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrate computer literacy.
Ability to understand and apply basic cost accounting concepts.
Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment.
Think independently and show initiative.
Anticipate and prevent problems.
Possess technical aptitude.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communications.
Have a valid US Driver’s License.
