Pay Range: $140 - 160K

The Director of Human Resources will report directly into the Vice President of Human Resources- IH&S Fluidics and will also interact with and support other leaders across other IH&S Fluidics sites. This position is full-time at the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Counsel and advise managers of appropriate interventions to addressemployee relations issues (e.g., performance improvement process) andmonitor progress.
Educate managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs,practices, processes, and tools (e.g., compensation, benefits,development projects, EEO) to ensure knowledge transfer, enhancedorganizational capability related to the management and development ofpeople, and consistent delivery.
Conduct fact-finding investigation activities (e.g., interviews,document review, consultation with appropriate Company officials)related to internal and external inquiries, complaints, and concerns andprescribe an appropriate remedy to resolve complaint or concern.
Counsel managers and employees regarding the intent, application, andcompliance requirements of significant labor and regulatory laws (e.g.,FMLA, Workers' Compensation, EEOC issues, ADA).
Develop and analyze workforce measurements (e.g., employee engagement, turnover, work-life issues) to help business unit leaders make responsive decisions that impact people processes.
Manage Worker Compensation activity for facility and return to work process.
Lead recruitment and selection of salaried and hourly members.
Facilitate courses and workshops (e.g., ergonomic education,performance management, diversity, health management, targetedselection) to increase awareness and grow the skills of others.
Develop and compile an annual salary and benefits survey.

Functional Skills:
Employee Relations: Knowledge of the broad range of relationships that
could impact an employee, employer, or applicant. This includes
knowledge of federal and state laws, company policies, practices and
ethical obligations to investigate, evaluate, and recommend an
appropriate resolution to an employee and labor relations' complaint.
Performance Management Principles: Knowledge of tools, methods and
practices used to link the relationship between business goals and
individual performance objectives, competencies, skills, and knowledge.
Ability to coach managers and employees on planning, tracking,
reviewing and enhancing performance as well as career planning and
development.
Safety and Health: Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing safety
and health programs; Knowledge of worker's compensation processes
and ergonomics. Leadership experience in safety committees.
Employment Law: Knowledge of regulatory laws that affect employment.
This includes an understanding of ADA, FMLA, and Title VII/Civil Rights
Act.

Knowledge/Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or (4) years of demonstrated experience in providing HR support required; preferably in a manufacturing environment
A minimum of 5 years of prior HR Manager/Business Partner experience with direct reports. HR Manager/Director experience preferred
Skills/Aptitudes:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential key employee and business information.
Original/out-of-the-box thinking and ingenuity to solve problems. Proactive
Attention to detail. Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project. Excellent organizational skills.
Agility in switching gears multiple times per day.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher Programs.
Experience with HRIS – Workday experience preferred.
