Position. We are looking for a dedicated, skilled and engaging professional to join our team of dynamic, highly-engaged attorneys and legal professionals as Paralegal, Labor & Employment . This position is full-time.

Position Overview. Reporting to the VP, Associate General Counsel , the successful candidate will assist internal legal counsel with various substantive and administrative Labor & Employment legal activities of the enterprise on a global basis.

Position Responsibilities. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following functions:

  • Research and summarize relevant changes in federal, state and local employment laws. Prepare multi-jurisdictional surveys regarding discrete assigned issues.

  • Coordinate and schedule labor & employment law training programs and ensure appropriate maintenance of training records.

  • Prepare, distribute and track legal hold notices for litigation and administrative matters, including identifying potential custodians.

  • Create monthly reports pertaining to litigation, administrative charges, and internal complaints.

  • Evaluate and respond to third-party subpoenas for employment matters.Assist HR with personnel record requests from current and former employees and representatives in accordance with applicable state law.

  • Assist in managing and tracking the Company’s severance and employment-based non-compete programs, including coordinating with counsel to prepare state-specific amendments necessitated by legal developments.

  • Coordinate with external counsel and BUs to manage and track immigration matters on a global basis.

  • Partner with internal and external counsel to administer and ensure compliance with the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) program.

  • Draft and review Non-Disclosure Agreements

  • Review and revise standard employment-based agreements in accordance with company templates and with attorney oversight as needed

  • Support employment law matters related to complex projects, including M&A strategies, divestitures, and organizational reductions and restructuring

  • Handle various administrative tasks and ad-hoc legal projects.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, legal department members and human resources professionals.

Required Position Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Paralegal certificate required.

  • Minimum of 5 years in legal environment (law firm/in-house)

  • Strong judgment, professionalism and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and complete projects in a timely manner

  • Ownership and ability to “run point” on certain work for the Legal Department

  • Good attention to detail and precise written work product

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communication and legal documents

  • Ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy in handling executive matters

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to handle company confidential information and data requiring the highest degree of attention to preserve confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to compile information from multiple sources.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and handle unanticipated situations and work effectively under pressure.
