FLUIDICS AND MICROFLUIDICS TEAMS
Our fluidics team is located across Oak Harbor, WA, Rohnert Park, CA, Bristol, CT, and Middleboro, MA. At IDEX Health & Science, we don’t just build components; we also create innovative solutions that maximize performance and enable complete optimization of the fluidic pathway. Our microfluidics team is located in Middleboro, MA and Zweibrücken, Germany. SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Under close supervision, the Assembler will perform repetitive assembly and testing operations in a manufacturing environment of pumps, service kits, motors, and drive couplings. They will also refurbish pumps, bypass, and sub-assemblies and assemble, test, and package components using necessary fixtures and tooling. This position will assemble high precision products made from various materials including stainless steel, ceramics, and plastics such as acrylic and peek.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & REQUIRED ABILITIES
Perform bench assembly operations, conducts repetitive operations on pump heads, service kits, motor, and drive housings
Refurbish units, bypass, and sub-assemblies
Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required
Test pump and motor assemblies, using written test specifications
Rework faulty pump and/or motor assemblies, replacing parts if necessary
Read and fully understand product sketches, drawings, MCD's and PCD's
Performs preventative maintenance on test equipment, such as gauges, flow meter and test stands
Transports parts to be tested and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework
Determines product rejects for rework or scrap and completes required paperwork
Participates in organizing statistical quality control
Perform other duties as required.
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of reading fine graduations on micrometers.
Good mechanical aptitude required.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work, microscope inspection, operating tools and machinery, using measurement devices and visual inspection involving small defects and parts.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds frequently, write by hand and keyboard, and operate small measurement devices
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
