Description: The Quality Engineer’s primary focus will be to support product sustaining activities in the areas of change management, ISO compliance, quality control, and supplier management initiatives.

Additionally, the Quality Engineer will coordinate and execute activities in support of the Quality System and support the corrective action, metrology, and statistical data collection/root-cause analysis processes.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize statistical tools and risk-based thinking to make critical product quality decisions.

  • Support data analysis and communication of nonconforming product to supply base.

  • Travel may be required to supplier locations for QMS audits and issue resolution purposes.

  • Support internal audit, calibration, and corrective action programs in compliance with QMS procedures and ISO standards.

  • Develop and manage qualification plans (IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure process, equipment, design, and supplier changes are appropriately evaluated, and validated.

  • Implement quality planning, control plan, inspection methodology, and root cause analysis in support of operations.

  • Develop variable and attribute data collection methods for new and existing products.

  • Manage Gauge R&R and capability studies to ensure repeatability of processes.

  • Partner with Operations to implement and manage effective process control and improvement activities through the monitoring of metrics.

  • Generate routine QMS reports and key metrics in support of daily management activities.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical degree

  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering or related QA experience

  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing techniques

  • Experience with ISO9001:2015 and/or ISO13485:2016

  • Familiar with automated inspection tools and programming methods

  • Familiar with modern quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, and Statistical techniques

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Experience working with ERP systems

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and embrace IDEX values of Trust, Team, and Excellence

  • ASQ Certification, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent certification

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification preferred but not required
