Essential Duties : The Maintenance Technician will be a member of the Maintenance Department within Operations. A successful technician is driven, detail oriented, and follows safety protocols when completing tasks in the facility. The technician is responsible for maintenance, repair, and replacement of machines & systems within the facility. As a team member, the technician will need to follow guidance from multiple internal stakeholders; including the Maintenance Manager, Operations Team Leads and Supervisors. Occasionally, the technician will need to involve external contractors.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
INSTALLATIONS & TROUBLESHOOTING
Inspects on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
Determine reasons for malfunctions of systems and create a maintenance plan to solve the problem
Installs equipment and machinery, including motors, air compressors, and CNC equipment
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANANCE
Repairs electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and equipment so they remain at full functioning capacity
Maintains material handling equipment, including forklifts, electrical trucks, and tow motors
Maintains and repairs air compressors
Maintains the HVAC Control System for the facility
Maintains office and plant security system
FACILITY MAINTENANCE
Opens the facility and performs equipment start-up tasks. Ensures equipment is ready for production needs.
Maintains office and plant security system
Maintains fire protection system
Performs ground maintenance tasks (when needed)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of related facility maintenance experience
Knowledge of fire protection, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Capable of lifting 65 lbs. without assistance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in maintaining CNC equipment
Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and ERP systems
