PURPOSE:
The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for both strategic and maintenance accounts across North America. This role will require the individual to establish and maintain strong relationships with existing customers as well as uncover prospective customers within their geography. The candidate will have a strong background in communicating with all levels of decision makers, have a strong background in sales process and display the ability to work cross-functionally within a manufacturing environment. The individual must have a proven record of having worked with multi-million-dollar customers. Success in this role will require the ability to consistently meet/exceed annual operating plans, develop/drive all levels of a sales funnel and provide market knowledge to all levels of the organization.
The position requires up to 50% overnight travel (US).

Build strategic account plans which allow for deep understanding of our growth opportunities
Effectively balance account management with active prospecting, with both existing customers and new customers identified with in the geography
Build and manage a sales funnel, robust enough to allow for YOY growth
Provide accurate and timely forecast information to management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Work cross-functionally with the commercial organization to inform and support efforts to drive growth initiatives
Understand sales processes that focus on messaging value impact to the customer
Uncover new business opportunities at existing customers & understand their product life cycles
Negotiate pricing and contracts as required
Navigate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders within all functions of our organization
Provide market and competitive intel through customer interactions, prospecting, and attendance at industry tradeshows
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Technical field strongly preferred
At least five (5) years equivalent work experience with proven professional sales and/or business development experience
Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools is preferred
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and message to all levels in the organization
Proven track record of delivering sales results
Valve or pneumatic industry experience preferred
Strong personal leadership and experience working in manufacturing environment
Project management experience
Strong negotiation and contract review skills
