We specialize in low voltage actuated valves and are strategically located between Lincoln & Omaha near Ashland-Greenwood, a half mile North of exit 420, where we design and assemble our products. Being recently acquired, this first year we will have a number of integration related projects to work on in HR. Our local team will have one HR person, with other support team members for payroll, benefits, etc. at our corporate office.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Human Resources Manager, in partnership with their HR leader and local management, will execute the essential areas of human resources, covering but not limited to employee relations, recruiting activities, HRIS data entry/integrity, payroll/timekeeping, performance management, benefits administration, policy creation and interpretation, leave administration, compensation, new hire orientation and training/compliance. Our HR Manager will help to ensure that KZ Valve is a place where we create an environment where our team members are invited to do and be their best every single day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Builds trust-based, collaborative relationships with managers & employees at all levels of the organization;

  • Manage and execute day to day human resource related activities and needs. Core focus will be administrative support for all HR systems (ADP & EASE at this time but moving to WorkDay and Dynamics time keeping), Recruiting/On-boarding of new hires, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Coaching Leaders and Integration projects related to becoming a part of IDEX Corporation.

  • Maintain the HRIS using ADP & EASE at this time, with a planned move to Workday

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely input, maintenance and reporting of all employee data into HR systems

  • Process new hires/terminations/changes

  • Data integrity for all systems

  • Biweekly payroll processing

  • Lead and coordinate the Recruiting and On-boarding processes

  • Facilitate the full life cycle recruitment process for hiring managers and candidates from defining job requirements with hiring managers, assisting with job description and score card creation, job postings, interviews, pre-employment testing, debrief sessions with interview teams, proposing compensation, background and drug screens, drafting offer letters and on-boarding

  • Comprehensive process to include process flow, roles/responsibilities, recruiting tools like phone screen templates, sample questions for leaders, training for interviewing skills, automated job postings and tracking with Workday Recruitment.

  • Track open positions and status

  • Partner with Finance on Headcount and planning

  • Partner with recruiting firms as appropriate

  • Ensure a diverse slate of candidates is considered for each opportunity

  • Coordinate all Benefits Administration

  • Annual Open Enrollment Process

  • Manage Leave of Absence process

  • Interprets and/or answers complex questions.

  • Lead and support the Talent Programs utilized at IDEX to Build Great Teams

  • Annual Performance Appraisal and Goal Setting

  • Annual Compensation Cycle

  • Organization Talent Cycle (OTC)

  • iSay Employee Engagement Survey

  • Partner with leaders to assess human resources needs that will help drive business results and proactively recommend solutions. Assists in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and human resources programs as the company and site continues to evolve

  • Manage employee issues and concerns to satisfactory resolution and provide guidance to leaders addressing employee issues. Ensure leaders are equipped with skills and tools to consistently apply company policies and enable open communication with their teams

  • Assists with maintaining and coordinating employee recognition programs

  • Support change initiatives and implement specific HR strategies to achieve organization goals and objectives. Support organizational restructuring activities as needed

  • Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Including the EEO/AA programs

  • Complies with health and safety policies and procedures. Safety Committee member.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA in Business, Human Resources or related area

  • Minimum 5 years human resource experience

  • Generalist background with knowledge of coaching, recruiting, employee relations, HRIS and benefits administration

  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and related state and federal regulations required

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Desired:

  • Light industrial experience

  • HR department of one, or building HR

  • Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees

  • Proficient with, or the ability to quickly learn, Dimensions payroll system and Workday HRIS system

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Demonstrated ability of role modeling the IDEX values of Trust, Team and Excellence

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational/planning and project management skills

  • Excellent problem solving and can narrow in on the critical few priorities

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Resourceful and well organized. High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities

  • Demonstrates the ability to persuade others to achieve excellence and to foster an environment of openness and teamwork; a supportive manner that facilitates his/her ability to achieve results
