OVERVIEW
The Senior Product Manager position will be responsible for products within the targeted growth segment at BAND IT, which offers a complete range of fastening solutions to different applications. The position will be an input to the business’ overall direction of its products and markets served, is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle. The Senior Product Manager’s plans will assist in generating increased profit, market share gain and overall customer satisfaction for the company. The Senior Product Manager will support and implement specific targeted product and market strategies, while determining the most effective and successful approach to growing the existing portfolio. This position will be at the Denver, CO location.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY
The Sr Product Manager - Targeted Growth will report directly to VP of Sales and Marketing with a primary focus on providing the business the key information and guidance as it relates to the 4-P’s (Product, Place, Price and Promotion). This person will be an influencer on the overall direction of the business and supporting the business line growth initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Band-It is seeking a champion, with a winning spirit, that can provide evidence that they grasp and can excel in the following areas:
Commercial process improvements acting as a persistent catalyst for change
Drives 80/20 complexity reduction across the product lines including product rationalization to optimize offering and complexity and manage the product life cycle
Drives margin expansion for the Product Line by working with Operations \ Supply Chain to drive cost reductions (PPV), Engineering to drive VA\VE projects and Commercial team on pricing
Full understanding and successful execution of a staged NPD Process in a manufacturing environment
Drives the product innovation process
Works closely with Engineering Director to identify root causes to product issues and resolve using a systematic action plan orientation
Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutions
Provide insights into product, technology and market trends
Develop feature lists, user stories, and roadmaps
Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
Monitor and report on product KPIs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to scope, design, concept test and deliver innovative solutions
Work closely with a cross functional team to define requirements and design features with the goal of securing product market fit and growth
Act as the voice of the customer, with a deep understanding of user personas, pain points and customer journeys
Effectively prioritize and define product features so that Engineering, and others, can collaboratively design and execute
Continuously rebalance product / service features which maximize value and minimize effort to focus on the highest -returning initiatives
Create and maintain accountability for KPIs and metrics throughout innovation lifecycle and recommend KPIs for a new venture prior to launch
Strategic Growth & Market Analysis
Support the Senior Leadership Team identify and define product vision and roadmap with clarify on feasibility, time, cost and impact.
Develop business cases and operating plans for new products or new applications within the Targeted Growth space.
Develop market insights through voice of customer research, in-depth competitive analysis and market share/trend analysis.
Determine feasibility and viability of a concept using customer feedback and market data.
Identify key customers for new application and/or product and create product plan to include targeted customers, value identification, pricing and anticipated performas.
Craft and shape the business/product strategy, functional product requirements, commercialization recommendation, and ultimately, own the transformation of a validated concept into a new product or new application in the targeted growth areas.
Design and recommend a commercialization strategy for a product concept.
Manage product line revenue, margin, pricing, and investment.
Product Development
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary and cross functional team to define product requirements, design features, concept test and deliver innovative solutions with the goal of securing product market fit and growth.

Be decisive on whether a concept continues to the next phase of the product innovation lifecycle

Technical understanding of equipment and processes in a manufacturing environment
Integrated system product background ideal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related area, such as marketing, business, engineering
MBA or graduate degree preferred
5+ years marketing experience, with at least three of those years in product marketing management with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing or industrial environment
3 years of experience on new product development and product management
3 years of experience working with competitive pricing, promotions and service parts, and pricing analysis/models
International experience a plus
Compensation:
Estimated compensation for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience
This position may be eligible for at targeted annual bonus of 10%
