THE POSITION:

The Director, Industrial and Energy Sales is responsible for market analysis, business development and profitable sales growth for Industrial and Energy segment as part of BAND-IT global product offering. This role will lead all aspects of the Industrial and Energy segment sales strategy development and implementation, sales process optimization, and Annual Operations Plan (AOP) performance.

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leads the Industrial and Energy Sales Team to achieve sales targets. Manages, motivates, coaches and mentors Industrial and Energy Sales Team members in building a high-performance team.

  • Develops and implements Industrial and Energy segment sales strategies, goals and targets based on data-driven market analysis and sales performance.

  • Develops and implements comprehensive Industrial and Energy segment sales plans (e.g., Annual Operation Plan and 3-year Strategic Plan).

  • Analyzes Industrial and Energy segment market trends and identifies new business opportunities to be launched and managed as sales campaigns and projects.

  • Forecasts Industrial and Energy segment sales performance and revenue. Generates sales reports and presentations for stakeholder coordination e.g., SIOP Sales Forecast, VOC for Global Engineering and New Product Development.

  • Oversees the entire Industrial and Energy segment sales process and conversion metrics, from lead generation to closing deals.

  • Builds and maintains strategic customer/channel partner relationships. Understands customer/channel partner needs and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Customer Services, and Operations) to improve the customer experience.

  • Managing Industrial and Energy Sales Team budgets and resources.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related areas required; MBA preferred.

  • Successful experience selling to / supporting major Industrial and Energy national accounts and buying groups or related types and channels of distribution required.

  • At least 8+ years sales and/or business development experience in similar level roles.

  • Experience in developing and executing sales & marketing strategies.

  • Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in relationship building.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Proficient in “value selling” concepts and tools. Must be able to develop and effectively present value-added solutions as sales proposals to a variety of stakeholders / decision makers in the target companies, from headquarters to branch locations.

  • Proficient in developing and communicating written strategic / business / marketing plans.

  • High level of self-motivation, “self-starter”, ambitious, strong work ethic, and integrity.

  • Sound general business, judgment, and decision-making skills.

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

  • Passionate in pursuing pro-active solutions for customers and the company.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient in internet use.

Physical Demands:

  • Travel up to 50% of time.

  • Long and irregular work hours across multiple time zones.

Work Environments:

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $165,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
