Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator position reports to the IT Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of multiple business systems at Banjo as well as end user support. This position is a key, customer-facing role on the IT team at Banjo. The Systems Administrator is expected to maintain an exemplary level of customer service while working with local and corporate resources to maintain a safe, reliable, and trustworthy computing environment for Banjo staff. The position will work onsite at Banjo and requires occasional after-hours support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports IT infrastructure and applications including Active Directory, Exchange, Print Services, MS SQL database, Microsoft Office, VPN, etc.

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and annual testing of the BC/DR plan

  • Provides proactive monitoring of business systems and backups to prevent downtime

  • Provides technical support directly to staff with a customer service mindset

  • Manages requests for service through effective use of a support ticketing system

  • Ensures network and cybersecurity by working with corporate and local resources

  • Manages print services by providing local support in partnership with contracted print management vendor

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through better use of existing system capabilities

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server as well as other Operating Systems

  • Troubleshooting, Support, and Maintenance of IT Systems

  • Familiarity with On-Premise and Cloud IT Infrastructure

  • Experience with Endpoint Security Software and Tools

  • Experience with Hyper-V or comparable virtualization technology

  • Experience with Bartender is a major plus

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to solve problems, consider alternatives before making decisions, display intuitive judgment, timeliness in making recommendations and decisions

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related fields, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 2-4 years IT/Technical Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years direct customer service or comparable customer-facing experience
