The Quality Manager provides overall direction and management of quality

throughout the business. This role is integral to the Operations team,

providing leadership to help ensure process capability, product quality,

specification compliance, supplier quality management, and Continuous

Improvement. This role is responsible for driving business solutions and

best practices to further develop a world-class Quality Management System

and champion Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout our supply



§ Responsible for assuring quality for the Weldon business unit in

Columbus, OH

§ Oversees Quality and Service departments

§ Direct report supervision, including one Quality Engineer, two

Inspectors, and one Service Technician

§ Leads and supports all ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements and

other 3rd party certifications as required

§ Implement and direct Quality Review Board cadence for timely issue


§ Champion root cause countermeasure (RCCM) initiatives throughout the


§ Manages and facilitates Continuous Improvement programs both internally

and externally

§ Directs training and auditing programs aimed at improving quality

throughout the business and supply chain

§ Responsible for managing supplier quality initiatives and developing

quality control of incoming product aimed at reducing incoming inspections

§ Approximately 15-25% travel required, including both domestic and


§ Suggests and leads efforts intended to improve processes by utilizing

Lean methodologies and tools that will improve top-level KPIs

§ Cooperates with the leadership team in formulating and implementing

company policies, operating procedures, and goals

§ Interfaces with both customers and suppliers effectively to ensure

quality is represented throughout the entire business value stream

§ Review and analyze statistical process data and product returns to

identify specific quality problems and trends

§ Champions change management throughout the organization


§ Identifies, recruits, and develops strong talent within Quality team

§ Drive to discover, understand and surpass the expectations of both

internal and external customers

§ Has a solid understanding of the local business, evaluates situations

objectively, and demonstrates the ability to make decisions that are

intended to have a positive impact on his/her area and the total industry

§ Demonstrates personal flexibility in approach and ideas, responds

positively to feedback, and supports appropriate organizational change

§ Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams, and

individuals both inside and outside the organization

§ Experience in collaborating with multiple functions and sites to drive

common solutions

§ Sound business acumen in a high mix, low volume, heavy supply chain,

final assembly, and test environment

§ Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments on

time can anticipate problem areas in advance and applies creative

approaches and ideas to solve problems for area of responsibility

§ Ability to adapt and work effectively in an environment of change,

uncertainty, and ambiguity

§ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and other technical information

§ Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and

communicate with well-supported data

§ Strong problem-solving skills as well as the ability to ask the right

questions, help frame logical conclusions, and arrive at practical




§ Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in quality related field or relevant

engineering, scientific, or business discipline

§ Advanced degree, MS and MBA, is preferred

§ ASQC certification is preferred

§ Minimum five years quality management and Continuous Improvement


§ Experience with electronics manufacturing is preferred

§ Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive experience is required

§ Experience with SPC, APQP, and Six Sigma tools
