Position Summary

This role is an integral part of the harmonized IDEX IH&S Customer Service team. The Customer Account Partner (CAP) is the primary point of contact for the IH&S “80 & 80T” customers. This role will share specific customer service responsibilities to provide full geographic coverage.

The CAP coordinates and provides a full spectrum of customer service support for their specific IH&S product line to the 80 & 80T customer base. The CAP is a strategic and pro-active problem solver, focused on developing and maintaining a holistic customer relationship with IH&S customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a “high touch” communication plan with all assigned customers, including regular written, and verbal communication

  • Creates and manages a strategic ordering plan that includes appropriate products that help meet customer needs while driving profitable growth for IH&S

  • Strong understanding of all IH&S Customer Service processes and procedures. Extensive working knowledge of the IH&S pricing processes, part numbers, and cross reference numbers

  • Collaborates with Operations leadership regarding customer requests and delivery issues

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast customer orders and trends; adjusting order strategy when necessary to maximize monthly/quarterly IDEX results

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a proactive customer management strategy with Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager roles

  • Plays a lead CS role with all new product initiation efforts

  • Will travel to customer sites and other IDEX business units both domestically and internationally and represent IH&S in a professional and effective manner

  • Maintains technical competence through attendance of training programs and reading current articles and company correspondence

  • Learn and demonstrate the attributes of all IDEX IH&S product offerings

  • Regularly attend new product training opportunities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Aptitudes

  • High level of business acumen. Must understand how customer service actions impact the IH&S business (growth, cost, and profit) both in the short and long term.

  • Independent thinker, capability of making decisions, strategic mindset, and the ability to problem solve.

  • Proactive team player with ability to coordinate tasks and work effectively in a matrixed environment.

  • Must have excellent writtenandverbal communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in MRP system to serve customer's needs. JDE experience preferred.

  • Must have Microsoft Office proficiency, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook for communicating with customers, developing professional summaries, and conducting analysis of business data.

  • Have knowledge of export shipping methods and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to work through conflict and appreciate the points of view of other functions inside and outside of the IH&S organization.


  • Must have a minimum of 2 years customer service experience with demonstrated track record of customer satisfaction (via survey data or direct reference contact).

  • College degree preferred. Equivalent and relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute. Minimum High school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions

  • This position can be onsite, hybrid, or remote

  • General office environment, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing environment.

  • Travel to customer locations and/or other IDEX business units as needed.

Physical / Mental Capabilities

  • Ability to sit at desk for long hours; repetitive hand and body dexterity for utilizing computer keyboard.

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.

  • Visual acuity for reading computer screen and handwritten/computer generated documents.

  • Speaking and hearing ability for telephone and in-person communications.

  • Able to travel via automobile, airplane, trains, or buses to facilitate customer visits

  • Capable of focusing on details regarding products and problems over extended periods of time.

Salary range is $55,000 - $61,000 and commensurate with experience
