IDEX Material Handler in Brenham, Texas

PPE has recognized the need for a material handler to support material transactions, physical cycle counts, and labelling of product. PPE plans to introduce the position to drive accurate inventory levels at the facility.

List of duties:

  • To deliver material to correct locations throughout the facility

  • To transact the material movements properly through JDE

  • To perform daily, weekly, and monthly physical cycle counts

  • To properly stock material in correct locations

  • To manage the Kanban card process for stock material

  • To Convey purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products on short supply

  • To troubleshoot and analyze inaccurate inventory transactions

  • To identify, communicate, and record problems that need to be escalated in order to be resolved

  • To participate in regular reviews with the Plant Manager, Shipping Supervisor and the Manufacturing teams to resolve and implement new processes

  • Attend internal/external technical training courses as applicable.

  • To label incoming product and placing them to correct storage location

The candidate: JDE transactional training will be provided, but the following skills are required;


  • Initiative and the ability to look at a problem with an open mind.

  • Ability to discuss issues and solutions with their team and other manufacturing areas

  • Excellent Communication Skills and Data Analysis

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent time keeping and attendance

  • ERP transactional experience of 1 year or ability to demonstrate previous experience of a similar role

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software ex. Excel, Outlook, Word


  • Experience of problem-solving techniques
