In this role the CI Leader will drive critical improvements in product quality, delivery, and flow while reducing product costs through OPEX processes. Additionally, this position will provide leadership and support to all functional areas to meet customer requirements including driving a highly engaged, high-performance, sustainable culture capable of achieving the business objectives, action plans and targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement roadmap that aligns with the business strategy.

  • Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and order to cash performance through monthly Kaizen events.

  • Coordinate and direct through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to: manufacturing, asset utilization, inventory control, building layout and construction, maintenance, manufacturing projects and studies, cost controls, labor utilization, order entry processes, work standards and administration.

  • Review, maintain, control, implement actions, and regularly report on the progress of the projects and initiatives.

  • Foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing Continuous Improvement culture tools.

  • Ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental, and labor regulations as required.

  • Serve as a key business partner and decision maker in the business.

  • Develop and maintain innovative and effective cost reduction programs throughout operations.

  • Lead and improve materials/inventory management practices (Includes best practices such as PFEP (plan for every part), ABC analysis, and pull-based material replenishment programs).

  • Implement order to cash improvements that results in shorter lead times and better customer service.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Engineering or related field.

  • Candidates with MBA’s will be preferred.

  • Candidates with CPIM certifications preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, to include related professional and Supervisory/Managerial experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant business and operational transformations.

  • Strong track record of managing and developing talent

  • Machining and high mix, low to volume assembly experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic, with “hands-on” experience in ERP implementations.

  • Strong Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.

  • Knowledge of Lean business systems and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.

  • Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes.

  • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.

This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements
