IDEX Account Manager in Boulder, Colorado

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Account Manager supports the profitability and growth of Advanced Thin Films by owning these responsibilities:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for established and potential Core Value Stream customers and intercompany business represented by other IDEX sales staff:

  • Working with the Director of Sales, determine a list of key potential customers and define then execute a strategic plan for establishing them as ATF customers

  • Shepherd new Requests for Quote through the ATF lead qualification process

  • Manage conversion of qualified leads into quotes for customers

  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure timely completion of quotations

  • Send quotes to customers and follow up on a regular basis to ensure Sales Funnel for ongoing business is maintained appropriately

  • Communicate order status to customers proactively through regular attendance at production meetings and familiarity with ATF manufacturing best practices and schedules

  • Demonstrate capability with high-level administrative tasks, with skills including but not limited to:

  • Writing and completion of quotes once all required engineering input has been provided

  • Entry of Purchase Orders into ERP system

  • Creation of new part numbers in ERP system

  • Fast and accurate completion of Compliance Reports, Representation and Certification forms, and any other paperwork customers may require for ATF to be maintained as a vendor in their system

  • Creation and issuing of RMAs as requested

  • Sending Sales Order Acknowledgements

  • Other duties/function as determined by business need or assigned by manager

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Success in this position is ultimately measured by customer satisfaction, which requires quick response to requests for quotes as well as other status updates, and by the ability to work effectively as part of a larger ATF team to support assigned customers as needed. The ideal candidate has the following characteristics:

  • Extremely detail-oriented

  • Effective time management and a demonstrated ability to manage many competing requests for time without losing sight of the most important tasks

  • Verbal and written communication skills, including use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment that demands the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple levels of an organization

  • Familiarity with ERP or other complex, highly custom software systems

  • Drive to work towards solving customer problems until the job is done

Education / Experience:

  • Prior experience in a related Sales or Customer Service role

  • A degree in a technical field is a plus

This position may require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Residence or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $74,000.00 - $111,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
