BASIC FUNCTION: Troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluation of product and application functions. Provide product selection recommendation for Gast/JUN-AIR customers and channel partners. Communicate effectively with customers and channel partners to direct necessary resolution strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION FOCUS:

  • Ability to train new technical assistance members on basic job functions.

  • Provides technical assistance to customers in response to incoming phone calls, emails and web inquiries. Handles technical calls, information requests and customer complaints.

  • Monitors and reviews engineering change requests to determine if it will affect quality of manufactured material/product

  • Direct customers who are ready to buy parts, kits and accessories or select units to the ecommerce site to complete the sale. Or, take the order direct over the phone and process through our ecommerce portal.

  • Provides support to CIP processes to ensure timely responses to technical requests are provided to customers and to the sales representatives.

  • Participates in product knowledge workshops, service center audits, trade shows and onsite distributor training as assigned.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a high paced, team environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical data to support customer inquiries effectively.

  • Thinks independently, shows initiative.

  • Anticipates and prevents problems.

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with electronic tools (website, Microsoft tools, email, ERP, CRM, SolidWorks, etc.)

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:

  • At least one (1) year demonstrated experience in internal/external communications with customers - OR - At least two (2) year’s experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Pneumatic systems experience preferred

  • OR - Repair/service experience preferred and the ability to respond effectively to customers
