The Engineering technician is a key member of the Trebor Engineering Team. Under general supervision provides technical assistance and support to Engineering and others as needed. Makes recommendations as to product performance. Will work with and assist engineering in assigned project action items to meet project technical goals on time. Able to troubleshoot technical issues in product testing and manufacturing. Writes professional reports to summarize experimental procedure, outcomes and recommendations for improvements. Able to execute engineering release and engineering change process
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Gathers data to make product upgrades from design of experiments
Performs experiments and troubleshooting under engineering direction as needed
Produces detail drawings based on example drawings
Completes engineering change notices, engineering drawing requests and print revisions
Provide engineering and drafting support to other departments
Reviews and updates work instructions for best known methods and practices
Tear down product and perform analysis for potential failure mode
Generate reports of completed work
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, movement within an office complex and outside in the field
Write by hand and keyboard
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use
JOB CONDITIONS
General office, manufacturing and laboratory environments
Must be comfortable traveling in geographic locations where customs and cultures are unfamiliar
QUALIFICATIONS
AS or higher in Engineering or technical related degree preferred.
Zero to three years of technical related experience preferred
CAD Skills a plus
Familiarity with CNC operation / Fabrication a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain internal and external customer relationships and work well in a team environment
